No money man can win my love
Its sweetness that Im thinking of
We always hang in a buffalo stance
We do the dive every time we dance
Ill give you love baby not romance

Yes, I am home (and sober) on a Saturday night: I have my principal, department chair, and state licensure rep coming in to observe my teaching Tuesday and I had to make all of these documents and materials to submit to them. I am relieved that part, which I think is the hardest, is complete. Of course, now my shoulders ache from sitting at this computer for so long... I apologize for being AWOL for the past couple of days. I hope all is well in SG land
Heres a quick summary of what was going though my head to keep me going tonight: I mentally listed all of the things that I really enjoy doing that do not cost money but often are more wonderful than any amount of cash could buy; please add to the list if you can think of more!
My Wonderful Experiences
(or, Terrakottas Happy-Places when she is ready to lose her sh*t)
1. Stretching out on a clean towel in a yard on a cloudless, humidity-free, 80-degree day
2. Crouching down in a hot shower and letting the water beat on my back
3. Making out in the pouring rain
4. Wearing really comfy clothing with big thick socks and curling up on the couch in the front of the tv with a fluffy blanket
5. Wearing countless layers of clothing, thick gloves, and a big soft hat and playing in a giant, fresh snow bank
6. Slipping into a bed with soft, clean sheets and inhaling the smell of fabric softener
7. Making out on a couch for hours with someone you are falling for
8. Making out in the back seat of a car with someone you are falling for
9. Getting into a bed that has been heated by an electric blanket on a cold night
10. Smelling the scent of someone youre attracted to when it later lingers on your shirt, coat, or pillow
I had to stop myself there to keep from diving into a whole range of mischievous thoughts. Of course, I am sad to report that I have not experienced all of these 10 in the past year. I obviously must get working on that!
As a final thought, heres a random excerpt from a conversation I had with my best friend this afternoon:
Me: How long do good girls wait before sleeping with the guys they date?
Jen: I dont know, I dont know any good girls.
Hahahahahaha!

I feel like I should create a whole new journal entry for this, but I am too damn OCD and cannot create two entries in the same day. I just wanted to share with you that I am now completely consumed by the band The Transplants, and not just because I want to jump naked on Travis Barker.

BTW, good girls apparently wait until marriage. At least that's what they keep telling me.
