Is it typical to start off your own blog by stating how much you don't like to write about yourself? I dislike it, some measure of vanity or conformity must play a role in my action to post a profile.
I guess the best way to go forward is to state where I am, what I do. I live in Upstate NY, in an apartment that I share with my fiance, and our dog Bailey. Bailey's a pug. While we like the location of this apartment complex, there are a number of things about the apartment that has us considering a move in a couple months when the lease is up. Cement walls make hanging anything up a project, and being a basement level apartment means less light. We feel like trolls sometimes.
My job is with an architectural firm in Syracuse. I'm the senior graphic designer, although to be honest, I am the only graphic designer that works there. The senior part of the title is just fluff. I handle the marketing for all things within the firm, as well as any side projects they have. It's fun, I work for good people.
I do draw once in a while (I posted a pencil drawing I did of my fiance for her birthday a few years ago), and I like to do photography, but more often than not my design work takes precedence. We go to the movies once in a while, we read books. The usual stuff. Oh, we have been going to get tattooed every month for almost a year now. Both my fiance and I are getting some large pieces done.
So with looking for a new apartment, planning a wedding, holding a job and maintaining a relationship, things have been pretty busy for me lately. I need a vacation, I think. Honeymoon is in August, and it can't come soon enough.
