Two and a half years since my last blog post. What happens in two and a half years?

The band I'm in toured. And then stopped touring to try and get a record together. It took a long time. Inspiration was slow in coming. We all felt some pressure to perform. Two and a half years is long enough to write things that you think...

How nice to hear from you, glad things are going ok with the band and in general. Yeah my life has taken some funny turns, it's been fun though. Living without electricity is strangely empowering, although I'm ready for a bit of lux with the winter coming up! Let me know when the album comes out, I'm so out of touch these days Xxx

Woah. What a day. Half of the people where I work come through Kings X. Everyone's fine but loads of close calls.

I was on a bus on the same route about 10mins before the bus explosion. Bizarre and sad sad sad.. .. ..

..anyway.. ..the power of the Comic Strip Presents on DVD is helping.

Quick chimp update -

"War Machine" single is now...

The geek in me loves my TeraStation. If I had an accountant in me (which, thank christ, I don't) I don't think he would be loving it though.

Upcoming Part Chimp album just got four stars in Mojo. Nice..

Holidays from work as of today. Right through until the 4th.. ..woohoo!

Played a gig up in Glasgow, but that's been about it recently. Good gig though. So far we've had a few extreme reactions to our shows. We've made people physically sick from the volume, given plenty of folk temporary (I hope!) tinnitus, had one guy blackout, and made one poor lass cry.

At...

Japanese gigs were made possible by: cumulative baggage allowance; non-existant Japanese and charmingly broken English; taxi leaflets; strange trees; a huge dead bug; astounding guitar shops; the koyaanisqatsi crossing outside Shibuya station; octopus balls; schoolgirls but no schoolboys; some of the best food we've ever eaten served during drinks at a place that wasn't even really a restaurant; lemon sours; eating raw chicken; "meet the...

It's late. It was late last night when it was late. And the night before.

Saw the Chunklet/Brother vs Brother DVD the other night. Chock full of underground rock royalty. Go find if you want to know how Brian Paulson (producer of "The Slints") or members of American Analog Set, Shellac, Dismemberment Plan, Superchunk & Mission of Burma answer questions like -
