As my ex complains on facebook about valentine's day (he is currently living in a country that doesnt even celebrate it, and is still inundated by his friends moony-eyed remarks about love) I cannot help but feel better. Schadenfreude, my loves, schadenfreude.

I actually was asked out and went on a date! How thrilling! How totally out of my league though, hopefully he wont notice that bit for a while. Maybe we can go again? Who knows.

Tonight though? Tonight I go out with friends and try to find an appropriate costume to wear to the bar on presidents day. Joel and wifey are going as JFK and Jackie O, and their other friend as Marylin. Class.

We found it. The costume. Over all the ideas, I came across a bright red skirt/suit set at the thrift shop for $5. It fits, It's classy, It's hideous, and I will make the most fantastic looking Sarah Palin since Tina Fey. Allyssa is going as Bristol, and my date from last night (also on our trivia team) should be McCain though I do not have the courage to even ask him. We were a respectable date, and I have a good feeling he may have different political affiliations than I.

Now to work on my Alaskan accent, and my Palin-isms. I feel like I may want to punch myself in the face on Monday. You betcha.
