I set a schedule not expecting it to be permanent. I review all the notes and documents I have on a project so far- documents on my harddrive, documents stored on google docs, documents actually written with pen and paper, printed out documents with notes on them.
A single obstacle, from multiple versions, I have to select one script to work with. The most recent by date is labeled 2ND DRAFT IN PROGRESS. There is another one, older, labeled just the title of the project. The are a couple of other's with, what seem to be, only small differences between them. I tell myself, if the difference are so small, it shouldn't be something I spend too much time on.
I haven't looked at these project documents in many months. It was a project I tried to shoot around Thanksgiving and it didn't work out. I was very disappointed. My collaborator didn't really help that much. Or perhaps I should say I wanted him to help more. It was mine though. It is mine. He is really just a hire. Remember that. I have done this before. Learn from that.
