So, I can finally see once more!
...sorta'
... kinda'
I had an astigmatism in both eyes which was pissing me off to no end. It was Hell, running, biking, swimming, and then there's that whole hiking thing. Couldn't wear my eyeglasses, so all my favorite things were constantly blurry.
"No more!" I said.
But, unfortunately, my cornea are less-than-one-millimeter too thin for me to have been a candidate for Lasik surgery. Well, shit! "Not to fret", said the all-pink-gowned 20-something nurse at the eye surgeons (well... OK. I don't think she used the word 'fret'. But you get my fuckin' point), you're a perfect candidate for PRK.
To keep the medical shit short (and 'cause I honestly don't have the patience to pay attention to what the surgery entailed, how it works, or any such nonsense... also lack the ability to explain the procedure to others) we'll say "laser beams" and "pain".
Nearly 2 months take-home went straight into payin' for new lids for the kid. Doctor says I should have my vision at 20/20 or better by the end of next week.
Until then it's a lot of squinting.
Here's me a few hours after the surgery. Valium and Oxycodone doin' their thing:
Definitely a wise decision to take a half-ass'd flash shot of yourself immediately following surgery on your eyeballs.
Now I jus' need to get back to writing all them letters to folks about Nepal and India, and Pak, oh-my.
Love & Peace
Happy Trails
As a side note - I adore the colour of your hair!
