Apparently I fell asleep today when Tom was working on my right-sleeve.
Being established and a fucking fantastic artist, Tom is usually booked solid, weeks in advance. Most of his clientele are works-in-progress like myself. It is my understanding that Tom usually doesn't bother with walk-ins. His step-son and the shop apprentices, however, take care of any/all/most of the walk-in traffic the shop receives.
I'm told that as I'm sitting there snoozing, head lolling from side-to-side, a virgin asked the receptionist how much tattooing hurt. At this point she was whisked to Tom's room where I sat, fast asleep. I awoke to the sound of murmuring voices of random people standing around me, with sporadic bursts of giggling.
A few minutes later (I managed to retain consciousness) I saw the same newbie walk by Tom's room, to get worked on by one of the shop apprentices.
I hope that my unconquerable lethargy helped in someone's decision to get stabbed a bunch today.
40+ hours of my Tengu wings done.

Yeah, I want to get my toe taken care of...
I wonder if the emergency room would take care of it.
