Huzzah!
As of Saturday morning the sleeves of my Tengu wings will no longer consist solely of ginormous, hideous outlines. This makes me all manner of excited.
I gotta admit - in all seriousness - that It'll be weird seeing something other than an outline going down my arms. This is certainly true of my right arm. Crawling over my left bicep, almost down to the crook of my elbow, I've got a decent amount of coloring already done. Right arm... zilch-o.
It has been several months since I last visited my artist, Tom. I have had to cancel several appointments which I know angers the poor fella. One cancellation was for family-related matters, the other was to visit friends in upstate Connecticut back in mid-December. So you know I'm itching to get back in the chair.
Tom likes to shade and color entire sections at once. So, while I have (I b'lieve) a gorgeous back, nearing completion, my arms look like some idgit went and got bored with a fine-tipped Sharpie pen one afternoon.
Exhibits A and B:
So, like I said, it sure will be different, seeing some color on myself. Right now I've just got the one smaller piece on my forearm that's been there forever and the little bits of feathers I can see on my shoulders and upper-left arm. I keep imagining what these hideous outlines will look like, once they've been properly filled-in with some smexy bloodred inks.
So, yay for me!
I'm sure I'll post pictures of the carnage sometime Sunday evening, or early next week.
