Hi everyone!
I'm have been keeping a low profile on SG because I had been very occupied with my freelance design and work as a painter. About three weeks ago, I receive a re-activation gift from a mysterious member. Someone was nice and caring enough to re-activate my account...well, at least i'm back and thank you to that person.
This week I went to a hearing for my 16-year-old cousin, whose been in juvie for three weeks, for stealing a woman's car and shoplifting at a department store near the mall. He is also there for removing his ankle braclet monitor since being arrested for those charges. He ran away for several days and return home at his apartment he shares with his low-life and wussy-ass father.
Make a story short, his father, being stressed and teetered out because of my cousin's behavior that triggered by his mother's (my aunt) agressive absence and unstable home life, had called my cousin's probation officer to come and take him to a facility for teens. Although my cousin returned home, while he slept, his two P.O's and three officers woke him up in bed, handcuffed him and escorted him in the van. You know what pissed me and my mom off, he told my mom about three days later that he arranged my cousin to be put away. My mom does not like my cousin's father because he ruined him and aunt's (my cousin) life so bad, she became mentally unstable and went her merry away forgetting about her son.
Yesterday, my cousin was facing serious charges from a car hijacking and shoplifting, facing a couple years in juvie until he is 21. But the judge whom my mom is good friends with his wife at church, sentenced him to 30-45 days in jail and ordered my cousin and his father family counseling. Since my mother had been there for my cousin entirely, the judge and the P.O. wanted him to support him to recovery. After the ruling, me and family hugged him as he broke down in tears. He broke down because he thought the judge was going to release him, we knew he was not coming home. It was a good thing because he needs to re-valuate his life because he had potential as a basketball player and the skills to make it in life. I don't want him to end up on the streets living a thug life, especially ending up in jail or being dead. I don't want that! There's nothing in this city to survive and there's too many gangs here. I want my cousin to succeed!
When my cousin gets out in October, I know he will be up against but we will welcome him with open arms and help him to help himself to stay in the right path.
Take care!
