I wish I had planned something to write ahead of time. It would be nice, rather then just sitting down and pounding away sporadically at the keys. Oh well.
I accomplished very little this weekend! I did a whole shit load of sitting around and drinking. The problem is non of it was planned. It was never like "hey, it's a nice day why don't you guys come down and we'll get into some beers." It went more along the lines of "Holly shit! What time is it? We've been out here all afternoon and I think I'm hammered." So what time we're we supposed to meet so and so?
Then again, this past weekend was so nice, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
No plans - sometimes a great thing.
It seems to me, some of the most memorable nights I have ever experienced have been unplanned. I don't know exactly why this is, but one conclusion I came up with is expectation. I hate to be let down. When you don't expect an outcome, you usually end up having a complete blast. No one gets uptight, and no one seems to become bitter. Everyones happy.
Tell me the last time you did something completely unplanned or completely spontaneous. If you can't seem to remember the last time, this is the perfect opportunity to pack your shit and go. All it takes is a quick call to the boss, "I'm sick today" and you're off!

And yes; sometimes, no plans are the best plans of all! The best nights are the ones that sneak up and surprise you, where you start out lost and you end up somewhere new, and meet new people, etc...at any rate, it's nice to hear you had such a pleasant weekend!
(If you ever come to CA, I'll show you some cool spots in LA, I ppromise!)
Let me think about your question and get back to you...
Hmm, music actually bugs me when I'm sleeping. Assuming it's music I like, I just listen to it instead of sleeping. Thanks for the recommendations though - I like mellowish music. Haha, actually, I'm not a Mum fan, her voice bugs the hell out of me. But I plan on checking out the other two.
