Godspeed has come and gone. What an incredible show! It was so moving I found myself fighting off tears a ridiculous amount of times. I began to think I might be crazy, until I started wondering around to get my head together and noticed how many people were sitting on the floor sobbing! Big groups of kids just crying?
I guess it sort of makes sense considering the state of everything right now. Our current world affairs combined with the recent outbreak of "SARS" in the Toronto and Southern Ontario area.
We are being hit incredible hard with media coverage and warning signs. Three children in the North York area of Toronto have been diagnosed today alone.

I wonder if any of you out there in SG land are hearing about this outbreak as frequently as we are up here in the great white? Hmmm?
The rest of my weekend was also very enjoyable! I was vintage shopping all day Saturday, and ended up with another fantastic jacket. Fuck - I promised myself I wouldn't buy anymore jackets until I absolutely needed one. Saturday night my girlfriend and I searched the city high and low for a half decent band, and just when I thought we were out of luck we came across something quite good. I was in pretty rough shape by this time and I can't remember the name of the bar or band. The place was way too small to be a club.
What I do remember is the important stuff - incredible players and very tight. Banjo/mandolin/lap-steel/ and an unbelievable keyboard player. Fender Rhodes.
Great way to finish a night of drinking and roaming the city streets, stumble across a Rockabilly/Alt country band! I only wish I could remember their name?

Aside from the occasional gross library patron, I can guarantee you nobody gets this close to me. No saliva is being EXCHANGED.
Can I just say, just for the sake of mentioning, JOHN FUckiN LENNON? I've been listening to Yoko Ono's Plastic Ono Band the last couple days and come to a conclusion-- it's not as good as John Lennon's. I mean, screaming "Eeeohhweeohh" and "Eeeiieeiieeiieeiieeii" only goes so far. Love that Ringo/Klaus thud, though.
