Just got back from the On My Own Time art show where something of mine was on display. Kind of cool to have something in the show again, even though its not that hard to get your stuff past the judges. I did sort of a modern art piece involving an old television and some video interference art animations displayed on the tube.

The show wasnt as well attended as last years, but my piece got more attention. At the beginning, there were usually about four or five people standing around and watching the animation sequence at any given time. And it seemed to be a hit with the kids. I tried to hang back and take pictures of people looking at it, but eventually I was found out by this middle aged woman. (Artists are required to wear nametags so people can associate them with their work).

She said it was her favorite piece of artwork at the show and then insisted that she take a picture of me next to it. Come on dude, she said in a way only a middle aged woman could, you can add this picture to your portfolio! I politely refused... a few times. She kept talking to me for a while after that. Im sure she was able to tell how incredibly awkward I was talking to her as I excused myself to look at the other pieces in the show. There was some really cool stuff and some lame stuff. But mostly cool.
