Hey.
Last night I went to the Sounds of the Underground Tour.
I had a really great time, there were so many bands and the only ones I didnt like were Opeth, Clutch and Strapping Young Lad, not bad considering thats only 3 out of 14. Those are my kinda odds.
It was also cool cuz I got to say Hi to Edea whos really nice.
The whole show almost didnt happen for me, you see I had completely forgotten about it, when I found out it was Saturday I quickly did what I could to go, but I still had to work in the morning, luckily I was able to get out really early and make it to my friend Steves house to catch a ride with them. The first band that played was Full Blown Chaos, not bad, and about three songs into there set they say they want to do a "Wall Of Death".
Have you seen a wall of death? so much fun.
Ive seen a lot of the bands playing:
Full Blown Chaos: first time
DevilDriver: First time(good set)
A Life Once Lost: 2nd time (really good, played all new songs)
All That Remains: 5th time (good set, but tech difficulties)
Red Chord: 2nd time (great set, I got a phone call during them, and I couldnt go anyway to hear, so loud)
Throwdown: 2nd time (since Im not edge I didnt sing along, but I played vault so others could)
Strapping Young Lad: 1st time and hopefully only.
Norma Jean: 2nd time (played really well, I was goofing around in the pit)
Every Time I Die: 3rd time (once again I was goofing dancing around)
GWAR: 1st time (Im gonna talk more about them in a bit)
Opeth: 1st time (fuck them)
Chimaira: 4th time (good set, played a lot of new stuff)
Poison the Well: 3rd time (Didnt play Nerdy, but good set anyway)
From Autumn to Ashes: 5th time (good set, the new songs they played sounded good)
Clutch: 1st time (I dont like clutch but I had a good time dosey doe-ing with my friends Joe in front of the drunks)
Unearth: 6th time (seen them so many times im starting to lose count.
Lamb of God: 3rd time (great set, played everysong I could have asked them to)
Alright GWAR.
So damn good, even if you dont like the music they put on the best show, Fake Blood Everywhere. George W. got his Junk ripped off I know a bunch of ppl must like that. I can now rest easily and hopefully see them again soon.
Anyway It was a blast I recommend that if its coming to your area you should go.
Today I had pratice with "Burn the Panda" our first practice.
And I can say once song in the bank already, its no Bon Jovi but it makes you move.
So how was everyone elses weekend?
