I did something today, that I have done in quite awhile. I worked. It felt so good to get back into it.
For me, my research, is very close to reading a decent novel or looking at a painting. I have become enveloped by the language, and the story that PDEs can convey. The colours that come from graphing their models, illuminate my world. The stress is comes to a head like the climax of a good movie, and the comedown is so satisfying.
That moment when you can see the equation, and it turns from number to visual explanation. There are no words other than sheer ecstasy. Today was shock waves, what may potentially become my bread and butter.
I topped off the day with a 2 hour practice session of singing. I went to my family's music hall, and rehearsed some old tunes I sang back in my opera days. (perhaps I even snuck in some phantom)
Good day, feeling better, and damn I really love pumpernickel bagels
.
Cheers,

Since I find this blogging thing to be soothing, I may just keep it up for the schnitzengiggles
