thanks for the feedback on my set attempt people, lots of really valuable stuff in there!
today i am doing filing instead of attending the SGUK meet which is a bit of downer - or it WOULD be if i wasn't listening to THE SMITHS and eating maple-cured bacon. delight! am back on the atkins wagon so finally my taking up eating unclean meats will pay off. i can still only bear the notion of eating pork and mabe beef though i'm not sure i've had any yet. but white meats are frightening and fish smells (and in my recollections tastes) like sewage so i don't think we'll be crossing that taboo.
my student loan still hasn't come through. i call my council about twice a week to check on the progress and almost EVERY TIME without fail there is something else wrong with it, even if it's something we've already checked over. so now i have to spend my precious free time reading week still in debt and not visiting my brother or getting my dad a birthday present. RUBBISH! itt wouldn't matter if i could make myself sleep properly, yknow how stuff seems worse when you're tired? i was buying my food the other day and frugally bought a horrid brand of soya milk because it was cheap - only to go to my usual shop and find that the nice brand was on offer for 20p less than i'd paid for horrid! and i actually started crying. RIDICULOUS! i gotta chill out.
good old neighbours with drugs.
generally everything is pretty awesome at present, even if i am rubbish at resting enough to function well. had a meal with a friend recently which involved BUFFALO MOZARELLA which i had forgotten is the BEST FOOD EVAR. also went to the National Portrait Gallery just off Trafalgar Square which is one of my favourite hangouts because it is FREE and there was a cool exhibition on self-portraits showing, including an audience-participation table. was fun. also watched series 1 and 2 of PEEP SHOW which i loved! also read latest issue of BULLETEER which was awesome, and i had a sex fantasy about DESOLATION JONES.
in other news i found out that for over 2000 years people thought that bees came from dead oxen! it's called 'bugonia'.
all things considered, a good week by anyone's standards!

I'm so into comics it hurts...
financial and spatial complications insist I only by compilations/graphic novels...
I haven't read any morrison since the invisibles ended. Which is a shame coz I fucking love that series and re-read more thananything else. except for moore. but then moore went and did promothea, which i really couldn't get into... and top ten, which was above average. just not upto scratch, i felt.
that's how out of date I am.
as a once and future esoteric, and an author to boot, Morrison's always lingered around me...
and the only thing better than the NP gallery is the British Museum. It's free and involves lots of stuff that we've stolen from other countries over the years. Sorry. Acquired...
