Wow! Still recovering from a hectic two days and last nights New Year's Eve Unsound party.
Friday evening I was at the Pirnce Albert in Brixton with some friends and met a whole load of local and u75 people...
...Saturday morning I battled through the corwds to track down some Dhafer Youssef albums (Digital Prophecy and Electric Sufi) to give my mate Albere as a present - I finally tracked down what are apparently the only copies in South East England, and ate some really nice suishi from Wasabi at Tottenham Court Rd on Oxford Street www.wasabi.uk.com That afternoon I drove to Southampton and back to help albere make a delivry - four hours round trip and got back to Brixton in time for a dinner at alexandro's with shane, lisa, a chinese woman with her daughter and a few other people.
Then out for midnight and the partying: we dropped by The Albert again (crowded) and Brixton Arts Coop (empty) and then drove Mike, Eme and another guy down to Camberwell for Unsound.
I stayed all the way through to 10am and helped Albere with the ballooon bar - the party was really kicking all night, with dub and roots upstairs, full on drum&bass etc on the main floor and a more psychodelic trippy and funky thing going on in the basement.
Crashed on shane's sofa at 11am, slept till 5pm and slowly recovered before heading back down to surrey around 11pm:

I'm going to do a proper load of stretching every day in the morning, get a bike and cycle more and start regularly swimming a decent amount to get fit for march/april egypt trip.
(It's a gift membership, nearly ran out, btw!)
