Just had a pretty awesome weekend. Met up with some old friends that I haven't caught up with in a while and we had such a good time. I don't know why I don't see them more often tbh. Went out for Tapas on friday night which I loved. Tapas just remindes me of the time I spent travelling in Spain, and we all got a bit nostalgic. The resteraunt we went too was a little independant one in the indie part of town, the part that most city have that's full of second hand and weird shops and little cafes and resteraunts. It was really good tapas, and there's just something so sociable about all sharing the same food rather than keeping to your own meals.
Went for a pub lunch on saturday with a few people. It was one of those old man pubs that never lost its working class atmosphere but still has good food and real ale and good cider on tap. Probably the most british place in britian. I like places like that, I'm just so comfortable.
In the evening there was a local gig on, punk and ska bands all for charity. That was great, I loved dancing away to the bands that I knew and discovered a new local band, which is always good fun. I'm going to keep and eye out for more of thier shows. I'm so grateful that this town has a good music scene, I'm not sure what I'd do for fun without one. Play scrabble maybe. haha.
I'm still painfully single but now I'm feeling a lot more optimistic about my life.
Still not finised Dorian Gray, I'm going to have a night with it and a bottle of wine soon I think. Not tonight though, tonight is a friend's birthday so its another night on the town for me. I'll have to pace myself with the drinking tonight, I don't want to be a mess in work.
