Yesterday, I took a really nice trip. My friend John knew I'd been feeling a bit down because of loosing my job, so he invited me over to where he lives. It's about an hour and a half drive into the country, but he came and picked me up anyway. It's really beautiful where he lives, theres a huge river running though a really little town with cute little gift shops and great old style pubs. The sun was still shining too. We had a cup of tea by the river and watched the boats and swans go by, and just chatted. I haven't seen him in a couple of months, it was good to find out what was going on in his life and have him listen to me bitch about my life. Everything just feels more relaxed out in country, like time is moving slower. Sometimes I think I should move out there, but I'd miss the gigs and night life of the city too much. When I'm old I definatly want to live somewhere pretty where I can really feel relaxed.
We went up to his house, which is awesome. John's a carpenter and he's made loads of cool stuff all over the house. It's got decking outside that you can sit on and watch the cows in the field behind. There's green beans, sweet peas and tomato plants out there too. He cooked me sweet potato and goats cheese pie with beans from the garden while I drank cider. Shared a bottle of red wine too. Then we shared a spliff and watched the mighty boosh, which is awesome, if you've not seen it definately check it out. After that we went to bed and had really hot sex all night. Really all night, we didn't stop until 7am. I wish all days were that good.
