worked 50 hours this week. from sunday through thursday. i'm off today, then working 8-4 saturday and sunday. it took me a few shifts to get my legs, but i'm good now.
i work as a pantry cook at the restaurant, responsible for salads, sandwiches and desserts. it's a good job, the people are chill and my boss seems to be happy with my progress. the food that we send out is top-notch, gourmet fare. although i don't yet have a say in what gets made, it's excellent to work with fresh, quality, often local products. it's gratifying to see the looks on the customers faces and to occasionally hear how much they enjoy their meals.
i work as a prep cook for the catering company, making both sweet and savory products. i need the hours there to make ends meet. so, i'm not making any progress yet towards reducing my debt, fixing my credit or buying my dream car. at least i'm not sinking any further.
my best friend loaned me the full run of 'the wire'. it's the best television i've ever watched. next i'm getting into breaking bad, which is filmed right here in albuquerque.
