take the long road

last night at the SG Burlesque show was awesome. i spent much of the time chilling out with old college buddies (two of whom were in Denovo [the drummer and bassist]) and drinking sprite like it was going out of style.
i spent all of Denovo's set chewing on my straw from my sprite and thinking that i really wanted a cigarette. but, when i had one at midnight, i couldn't stand all of the smoke in the bar, so i didn't go and stand up front with kellyjanice and some other SGOHIO people. (can you tell i never ever go out, ever?)
Bloom was amazing, total sleazy rock and roll, and i loved it, but i spent much of it standing back by the door and not saying much. i think i saw Fortysix_And_Two, but i wasn't sure, and i didn't want to seem like the dork to go up and make a fool of myself.
and then the girls came on stage, and the whole thing was very hott. especially the routine with Shera and Violet with the cheerleading, and the routine with the Joan Jett Song (i think Siren was in that one?)
i was standing back by the door when the whole thing was over, and the SGs, covered in chocolate walked by covered in their towels. they're all so tiny! gorgeous little short girls! i haven't felt like a giant in a good long while.
and i wasn't even in heels.
(you try finding heels for a girl with a size twelve shoe)
and then i realy had to pee (and do other things in the bathroom) and i opened the door slightly to find the SGs still in there washing up. i left quickly, not wanting to be rude. i still feel bad about that.
and then i went over to the Denovo house, and drank diet caffeine free mountain dew (they had no other non-alcoholic drinks) until four in the morning when it was high time gunhead and i went home.

Yeah, that was me. I was wearing blue jeans and a black sweater. Wow ... you remember me? Where were you standing?
