U2 - New Year's Day
All is quiet on New Year's Day
A world in white gets underway
And I want to be with you
Be with you night and day
Nothing changes on New Year's Day
I will be with you again
I will be with you again
Under a blood-red sky
A crowd has gathered in black and white
Arms entwined, the chosen few,
The newspapers say, say, say it's true
And we can break through,
Though torn in two, we can be one
I will begin again, I will begin again
Oh and maybe the time is right
Oh maybe tonight
I will be with you again
I will be with you again
And so we are told this is the golden age
And gold is the reason for the wars we wage
Though I want to be with you
Be with you night and day
Nothing changes on New Year's day

I wrote those lyrics from sheer memory...so do correct me if I got a few words wrong.

I hunger for change. I hunger to try new things. A close, older friend of mine bought me the book Passion & Purity by Elisabeth Elliot as a present. Many stories are about young women who fell in love, only to have their hearts broken, but they found this faith in god again and used that foundation to heal. She's trying to tell me something, yes, yes. But...I'll read it.
I need to get to bed. I'm meeting the girl who I love but doesn't love me so much anymore. Because I don't let go. I'm an idiot. She could probably stab me in the back with a huge nail or something and I'd still love her. I don't fall out of love. It's a curse. And a blessing.
I'm going to bed. Tell me how your Christmas went. Tell me what were the best/worse parts. Enlighten me. I feel like listening. Wait...I always listen. I just need words.

My Christmas was cool. Worst parts: getting a book I already had. Best parts: seeing my brother, helping my mom make Christmas dinner, getting away for a few days.
