so...i had to train this new 17 year old teenie on how to do warehouse yesterday at work. we had a few good conversations while working, she seemed pretty cool, even if it seemed like not a whole lot was happening upstairs, if-you-know-what-i-mean.

after an hour or two of pricing inventory, i only had a half hour of work left before my shift was over.

me: i'm going to give mike a break before i go, since he never takes a half hour lunch, only quick smoking breaks.
her: oh...when you get back, can you give me a smoking break, too?
me: that's not necessary, you can leave your department whenever you want, but someone always has to be watching the photo department. [pause] wait...aren't you 17? you're not even legal to smoke or buy cigarettes.
her: yeah...i know. my mom hates the fact that i smoke, but she still buys them for me.
me: mm hmm? sounds like a supportive mother.
her: not really. she just knows that i always get my way or i always raise hell. i get what i want, when i want it. that's just how it goes. she knows i must always win.

some funny shit happening lately. i'd be lying if i said i wasn't amused by idiots (my moments included...i have no problem laughing at myself). i still hate the drama that happens at work. gah. nasty.
