Well the first week of my PhD has gone by in a flash. Crazy really. Getting on well with the rest of the research group and my supervisor. Already been out on fieldwork to the hills of scotland.
It was really tranquil where we were working, except the trees haven't really started to change yet, but none the less I really appreciate that these are the sort of places I'll be lucky enough to call my place of work for the next three years.
In other news I've met a lovely lady who I will be working closely with over the next three/four years. We're both just starting our PhD's, shes very pretty and easygoing. I just need to find out a bit more about her and hopefully then she'll agree to go out on a date with me, well hopefully she will.
Anyway I'd better get some work done today as I only got up an hour ago and my headache is nearly gone.

Ooh PhD... my thesis is just a lowly Masters I'm afraid, but thanks for the congratulations anyway. what's your field? something invoving beautiful misty mountains I'm guessing?
