I don't know if you've had an experience with the coffee they serve in restaurants here in the states, but it's like they grind a coffee bean and add hot water and call it coffee. If I pour my coffee and you can see through it when you pour, it's no good.

This weekend I had to suffer through bad coffee. So now here I sit with a mug made by myself and I sigh in relief. Finally, a good cup of coffee.

So, how much longer until you leave? Getting all excited?

Been very busy recently hence no journal entry since last week. I've been in the scrap metal business this week. Been cutting up lorry bodies all day and loading them onto a trailer to take to the scrap yard. Made about 250 on scrap steel and a bit more on copper and brass. Sorry for lack of postage this last week. Been really busy at home. This week I basically dug a grave for my cousin. Hes been dead since febuary and as it was his birthday on wednesday my aunty decided that we'd remember him by planting a tree and scattering his ashes underneath it. So thats what we did. I've always made it clear to everyone that I don't want to be pumped full of preserves and buried. I think your family did righ by your cousin. I've heard stories of eccentric people wanting their ashes spread in name brand department stores. Thus, now our illustrious government is trying to pass laws as to where we have our remains spread.

I've decided I want my ashes spread at three different places. Two on the coast and one up a mountain. All the places are special to me at the moment. Plus it'd give people an excuse to go somewhere nice instead of a depressing grey cemetery or garden of remembrance. Name brand department stores sounds a bit whacky. Don't they realise that it'll get swept up and sent to the dump...

Sorry I haven't written back sooner. Been busy you know that kind of lame excuse stuff. I used to photograph construction sites. I always had lots of crap that I accidentally would leave in pockets and would also drag into my house.The worst contract I ever had was to photograph a waste treatment plant. I photographed all the human sewage construction progress for all of washington DC, virginia and southern maryland. I NEVER ever forgot to clean up after those days!!
