I think I might be getting sick.
I have a head-ache... and this is a very rare occurance for me... SO.
We'll see what happens. Lots of vitamins and other such things are in my diet now.
I have a minor rant... if I may.
SO MUCH NEGATIVITY ON THIS SITE!
I guess it's human nature to rip people apart for their beliefs, views, religion, physical looks, intelligence and such..
BUT REALLY.
I thought that the "alternate crowd" would be a bit more accepting of difference... but it seems the amount of shallowness continues even here.
Example?
If you heard the story about a young African American girl who was sexually abused and racially slurred growing up in a small town in Southern US, with no money but a strong spirit and will would you support her and wish her the best in everything?
I would.
But apparently lots of self-righteous folks on the boards disagree and diss OPRAH WINFREY for her success.
Why?
She is (in my opinion) a good woman... but people feel because of her status she must be evil.
That sucks.
Why are we so quick to attack those who have papable success?
I want that kind of success. I want fame and fortune.
When I achieve it, am I then evil?
If so- why?
Everyone who has "made it" can so easily be dissed when they no longer have the spotlight on them as well.
Corey Feldman? Mark Hamill?
Why are they considered failures when for the most part we all know their names for the great work they were involved with in the past?
Is it because they no longer are so in the limelight?
And if that is so- what does that make me? No one outside my community knows my name yet. I'm guessing the same goes for almost everybody on this site.
That sucks.
I wish people would applaud success more, instead of using it as an excuse to point down others in a lame way to make them feel better about themselves.
People are inherently good.
So I think.
I love you until you make me choose otherwise.
I just wish people could cheer when some creates completes a vitual marathon through their success instead of looking at their shoes and saying they'd be better in white.
What is your take? I think I might post this on the boards... see what sort of response I get...
I have thick armour.
For my life?
Things progress well for the most part. I am hoping you are also feeling good.. and if you aren't then know I wish you well and offer a:
Be well!
