Oh the love
So apparently my (James) mom is currently in a rehab clinic after trying to OD on some Soma Pills (which she acquires from a doctor after claiming that my dad has been in prison for years, and the various drug heads in her neighborhood), and proceeds to wal-mart where she ends up falling in the store (god knows why *cough**cough*). So the ambulance was called, and she was whisked away in her disillusioned state to the hospital.
This all happened by 10:30am on Wednesday. Come 2:30 they finally got a hold of my dad at work. He goes up to the hospital where my mom proceeds to scream and yell at him as if it was his fault. Meanwhile the doctor is reluctant to release her over to my dad because my mom has been lying about him saying he beats her and shit.(My dad doesnt hit women) So my dad doesnt know what to do. The doctor suggests putting her in a rehab clinic. My dad agrees and soon enough she is being sent off to this rehab clinic. My dad didnt know which one they were sending her to. Turns out its one of the worst ones in Louisiana where they mix the rehab patients with the psycho ward patients!
So how do I feel about all this?
Well, Im actually not surprised at all by this. Im more surprised that my parents are still alive. They live there life as if its already over and they are just ready to die. They never thought they would make it past 25. By their lifestyle with all the drugs, and shady deals they have been involved in, Im surprised myself. My parents are great people dont get me wrong; they just have an addiction problem. My mom is addicted to pills and weed, and my dad is addicted only to weed.
Having been raised in this environment has made me such a strong person today. I have NEVER done any drug. I only socially drink. I have seen the effects that weed and pills can do to people. My parents are a perfect example of a Just Say Yes campaign. It has ruined there life forever. They are hitting rock bottom and I feel that within a year, my mom will be dead. My dad is ok, I think.
