So I have an audition to be the guitarist for a Christian music-performance thing coming up in the next week. I still can't figure out which part of that sentence makes me the most uncomfortable. The unpaying part, probably; the not being able to play anything beyond the "Pinball Wizard" intro the second. How did I talk my way into doing this? By breaking all my headphones and having to be open to talkative creepy middle aged women on the train. Upon reflection, maybe I should just say what comes to mind. But hey, I go on adventures. I did buy new headphones first thing at the bookstore, though. I got confused as to where they were, and now the girls who work there think I'm on drugs. I assume, anyway.
The rock unit is...watching "The History of Rock n Roll" on DVD, and pretty much writing down what seems to be important. It's only been the first day, but so far I'm getting the impression that this class lost momentum around Bitches Brew. Hope springs eternal.
Acting was typically bad, but made worse when my scene partner no showed, so I couldn't do anything but leave early. I mean, that's fine and all, but I would rather not wreck the final. At this point, if I want to do this kind of thing, I'm going to find an improv group or something. Just seems like less of a hassle, and more freedom to say and do retarded things.
Oh, and I also interrupted a person's conversation when I overheard a (cute) girl say she was "nostalgiac for the past." I told her that was a stupid thing to say, because most people aren't very nostalgiac for the future. Except me, who was feeling nostalgiac for a sandwich I'll have next Thursday. She wasn't amused, but her friends were. Game? I have it.
Writing about music a lot lately. I really don't know why, beyond it seems like the most enjoyable and lucrative thing to write about. And I just saw "Almost Famous" for the first time in years. I love that movie.
Heading to the lake Wednesday, and coming back sometime this weekend. Working on Saturday, just depends on how it all works. I need to be back for a few days. Apparently things are going better than they've been, but still. It's not the best.
I also need to venture to SoCal at some point. Like, really soon. I hate that I haven't yet. Seems like that's where a lot of people are I should probably see, because I haven't in a while. I haven't been down there in a few years, and I always have this weird misplaced affection the area. I also feel like I need to see Redlands, but meh.
May's never my month, and it's going to continue. The last week is never good, especially.
Anyway, I'll end this now.
Later.

Did you say you work on Saturday? Did I miss something?
Btw, I have no idea what the theme is tonight on Idol. Hope it doesn't suck.
Hope you're doing good, I'm still sick, but it keeps feeling like it's getting better, then blah again. That sucks. Hope it's gone before Thursday.
