I remember someone who once meant a lot to me told me that what's popular isn't always right, & what's right isn't always popular. Granted, i think it carries more weight now than it did then, however at the time it resonated in that angsty way things tend to do at that age. I hate the word "angst," by the way. Talk about one that's been misused, going from a feeling to a word to promote teen movies or mediocre music. But i still think about those words from time to time, & about that special person who said them. If someone can have an impact in your life, even in just a passing way, that's someone special, i think. As for the words, in a lot of ways, i think they apply strongly lately. Maybe too much.
Wrote a story last night in less than ten minutes, & i think it has a decent, if limited, chance for potential.
Things feel like they're going really well, just extremely stressful.
The original version of "Bedazzled" is one of the best comedies ever made. I love that movie. Dudley Moore, Peter Cook, Eleanor Bron, Raquel Welch, brilliant writing & perfect timing. I like to think the devil is a lot like Peter Cook. Would make the notion of God being Richard Pryor have an even playing field.
