Tuesday after class i head back home to the LC (i only write it like that because i think it's the stupidest thing i've ever heard anyone say, thus far). Catagogo generously decided to take me down, & we'll be meeting up with passion & later Omeganightmare, which is fine by me because i enjoy all of them & they aren't related to me. That alone makes them enjoyable, in addition to the other aspects of their individual enjoyability. If possible, i'd love to find somewhere to crash in the area, then get at least into Lakeport Wednesday. Part of me is actually nostalgiac at the prospect of being in the area again, since i haven't been very deep into it in a couple years. Nothing past downtown Lakeport, which i haven't been in since the county fair two years ago. I could do a post on just fair shit, honestly. Anyway, i don't know what all is going to happen Tuesday as far as anything fun (class might be, but then again it might not. Dude runs hot & cold). I'm looking forward to it. That's what Thanksgiving should really be about: friends gathering & doing fun shit. And smallpox & turkey & whatever cliched thing there is.
"Saved By the Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas" is on TBS right now. Pat Corley just looked at Slater like he'd rape him. Awesome. And, i'm sorry, Screech is legit retarded. The fact no one beat the ever loving shit out of him is one of the biggest travesties in television history. I love this show. I think i'll end up buying the college years in the future.
So i went to the reopening of the True Love cafe. I'm not aware of its significance, because up until recently i hung out at a modified truck stop, but it was fun seeing everyone so happy & jazzed about it. I greatly enjoy the SG Sac folk. Not a sane one among the bunch. Good times. I look forward to the next get together. I think that group the only reason i'm still paying for this place. I mean, yeah, tits, but still, i've met some really cool people here. We'll see how it is come Janurary, i guess. The decision between tits & friends Vs food will be fun.
And it just occured to me there's a UFC show in Sac tonight. I should've known this, & begged someone to go. Fuck.
I've been listening to Berlin a lot, the Lou Reed album. The more i listen to it, the more i really, really like it. Some of the lyrics seem a little lazy (i can't tell if i like the rhyming of things like "vial" & "vile," or "I" & "eye"), though. Musically i'm really digging it, just because it's so bleak sounding. Not in a negative sense, but in a theatrical sense; the kind where the badness lures you in. The production seems to get more smooth as the record goes, something i'm kinda torn on since i like the less refined aspects of it early on, but it's still wonderful. I really really hate the fact i missed him perform this in either Arcata or Chico. My brother, bless him, called me the night he was performing in Arcata to remind me he was playing there. I think he might have called me from the show later that night (it was either that or the MSI show he went to a little while later. Ambien blurs days), which was nice of him. It's not like i asked him to keep track of tickets so we could go or anything. The Chico show just slipped my mind completely, not like my friends in Chico would dig the concert, or at least Berlin. He'll be back.
In the radio class, we get to make up & record commercials for things/places that can be fictional. All of my ideas have been too poor in taste to really use. Since i don't offend easily, i assume everyone is like that. Few things actually bother me enough to be offended. As result, suggesting things like an ad for the Ground Zero Hotel & Casino or Big Ray's Fertility Clinic & International Buffet tend to rub people the wrong way. So i've been trying to think of something good. The group seems in favor of my Bible-themed amusement park/escort service idea so far, but it seems a little mundane. On a semi related note, R. Lee Ermey is a weird man who won't let you download free things from his website without permission from the webmaster...who likely wouldn't give permission for use in made up commercials for quasi offensive things.
I really want to play pinball. I love pinball. Another reason Tommy has altered my brain.
For my birthday, the parents gave me a $200 Amazon gift certificate. Little more than i was expecting, but i'm not complaining. Spent the vast majority of it on DVDs, then three albums i've been after for a while. So i've spent a good chunk of time watching "NewsRadio," which has been delightful. Also got a "Simpsons" where one disc doesn't work (i blame the hideous plastic fucking head they came in), the most recent "That '70s Show," because i'm hopelessly addicted to it, & i'm debating what else to get. Leaning something stupid.
I'm pretty much done. Life isn't exciting.
