Working late on a few freelance projects while it's quiet here in the loft. I picked up the new Cure DVD the other day and it's fantastic. What an event to be at! I actually got my first taste of political advertising/branding/marketing. We have a client who is running for governor and I designed the idenity/logo for him. Despite somebody being liberal/grassroots/open, they're still very conservative in the way they want to be perceived by the party and the people. It's a tough mold to break. I guess when people are donating money, you kinda have to stick to the format. But I'm happy with how the design turned out, especially in the fact I didn't have to use the typical red white and blue.

I love designing logos & such! I will most likely work a bit in a shop again on the side, to brush up on my skills. So, when I have my flow back I'd LOVE to work on a custom piece! That was my favorite thing about the shop I used to be in. I was the one in the shop all the custom designs were done by! Another artist in the shop also worked part time at another shop in the next town & would bring his cutom requests to me & pay me to do them....sad, but lotsa fun & extra money for me at the time. I'd love to go on a board trip, but looks like I might miss out on good snow this season
