Surgery was a success according to my surgeon. With all that said recovery is now upon me. I am not the kind of man that asks for help from anyone but it was great that my father drove from South Carolina to NYC to be there and help me. The pain is unimaginable and the mere things that we take for granted is unmeasurable. I will never place something so small like showering and putting on clothes in such low regard. Hell getting out of bed is hell but thank goodness for my iPad...I have to get myself out of bed and sitting in a chair is not the most comfortable thing either... walking outside starts next week and then dreaded therapy begins. The good thing is that I still do not have much of an appetite so weight gain is not much of an issue. The new me will be better...stronger...and healthier than before.
