I've always maintained that the human mind is it's own worst enemy.. Right now though, I'm finding it somewhat disconcerting at how closely what you wrote is to the argument I've been having with my own mind over the last few months..

@tazzi I know what you mean! The emotions have their own rhythm, and the mind must struggle to hang on and not let things get out of control! We are lucky if the mind can control our ACTIONS, but it can rarely control our feelings:) It's hard to believe that someone would betray someone as clever, charming, and lovely as you, but I know that it happens all the time to the best of us. Still, it is never any less painful. Thank you for asking about my situation. I think I will have a conversation, but only to apologize for MY behavior (not all of which was good-not horrible but not my usual). In my experience, people don't change, and almost never admit any error or wrongdoing! Asking for some kind of acknowledgement would only make things worse. Fortunately, this is not a romantic entanglement, but a friendship.
