@charmaine @rambo @lyxzen @missy I'm mixing up a couple of related homework topics for this blog.. hope that's okay! :D
Firstly, my favourite halloween costume: Undead Alice :D borrowed the costume from a friend for a dressup competition at work last year.. (I was one of the winners.. woot! Haha :P) Also stayed in said costume all day in an office environment. Felt kinda weird trying to maintain a professional persona when I was dressed up all awesome and fun :D Below photo was from a photoshoot set up simply as an excuse to dress up again hehe :P the makeup was better for the first time.. but never mind!
Second topic: spooky stories!!
I've had a few spooky experiences throughout my life, some not expected, some more sought out.. one of which I mentioned in my last blog haha.. anywho!
One time I was staying at my Nan's house, I woke up in the middle of the night to see my (deceased) Poppy somehow in the reflection of the mirror at the end of the bed. He was standing in the doorway, just like he was looking in on me when he was alive, smiled and walked down the hallway. Scared the shit out of me at the time, but when Nanny came in and I told her, she just said "he'd just be making sure you're okay", and I realised she was right :) ever since, it's more of a comforting memory than a scary one haha :)
So here's a slightly more spooky one...
One time my friend and I were looking through one of the old wards at Willow Court, (abandoned mental asylum that I mentioned in my previous blog), I wandered into a separate area from her and found a green plastic bowl with handles, like what you'd expect to find in a hospital, and a baby bootie.. both in perfect condition.. which I found a bit weird because everything else in the room was completely destroyed.. when my friend suddenly called out to me and said she couldn't move. I walked quickly over to where she was standing.. in the middle of the room staring straight ahead, facing away from me, and she kept saying she couldn't move, in a voice getting a little more scared each time. At first I'd thought she was just playing around, but sort of started to think again when I saw the look on her face! I gave her a slight push from behind, and she was able to walk again. I told her about the things I had found in the other room, and she was quite keen to get away from where she was, so I took her to where I had been. As soon as she saw the bootie, she reached down and picked it up, said "I know where this needs to be", walked back into the other room, found the matching bootie amongst the rubble almost straight away...?!?!...and put them together on the floor as a pair. Then said "we can go now" in a weirdly calm voice and went outside. After we got outside she was fine again, a bit shaky, and we were both quite freaked out to say the least! It got even weirder a few months later when I was reading up on a paranormal investigative group's blog, who have been exploring the site pretty much since it closed down, and saw an entry where the guy was saying he'd experienced the same weird tingly feelings that my friend had, the sudden inability, then ability to move, and even posted a photo of the booties. (When I found it, I called her repeatedly until she answered so I could tell her haha, once again, we both freaked a bit :P)
So there we go! Thanks for reading ;D
