I have a set going into Members Review on October 15th at 12pm. I guess the 12pm is America time? I don't know.
I am shooting a new set with Lavezzaro at the end of Oct. Well it's only fair as I have so much more ink this year what with the hip to hip wording, throat piece being finished and my boobie being done. No doubt by the end of Oct something else will be on me, somewhere. And I have a good idea of a present I am getting at the weekend which will feature in the shoot. This one (I said it before, I mean it now though) will be my last attempt with SG, I may well shoot more with her in the future but not for SG. Too much changes and too many people get shafted. I'm just glad that Lavezzaro didn't get shafted, but so sad for those that did.
It's been a couple of weeks since my right boobie was tattooed and it has healed really rather nicely and I cannot wait to get the other side done (by Adam Lewis) This time it will be a bit of Thai and geometric fusion work and going a little way up the gap on my chest. I'm saving the right hand side for a Japanese rat in honor of my old girls Monkey and Little'un who I brought up from a very young age and who used to stay perched right on that spot.
Oh and my right boobie is finished, no colour is going to be added to it. At least not for the foreseeable future anyway, as i wanted black and grey as not to look out of place with a black and grey chest piece. I know there is a lot of colour on me but I didn't want my chest piece to look out of place. and I wanted an understated boobie I guess. I can always add colour to the petals at a later date if I choose though.
I'm about halfway translating my huge French Polynesian book so I'll have info for people kinda soon if they want it. I won't give out meaning for much as there are no true meanings for most of the South Pacific work unless it is Samoan, Marquesan and some Tahitian. If you see meanings behind symbols used in Maori etc, it is not right as the meanings behind these tattoos relate to the bearer and their history and ancestry. On Tuesday I had a hell of a time trying to stencil on the buddhist mantra 'Om Mani Padme Hum' in it's sanscrit form around someone's neck whilst tring to avoid a lot of other work scattered about the chest area. After three attempts I got it though, had to change it from calligraphy style to solid and totally make it smaller than the guy wanted but it actually looked better smaller (never thought I'd hear myself say that!!!)
This coming weekend is the day I like to call 'The Day That Shall Not Be Named' and what other people call my birthday. This year is hard already as it's September 11th and there is a LOT of stuff about the ten year anniversary of the Twin Towers and the events in America in 2001 and I feel really bad about doing anything and celebrating on a day when such atrocities happened. I am however going to attempt to get to Drusilla's on either Sat or Sun (weather permitting) so I can walk with the free roaming:
My plan is to, er, liberate (yeah that's a good word) a couple of the guys and create what I like to call 'The 'Mighty Liberation of The Ninja Peace Lemurs' sop that I can create my own (and better?) Planet Of The Apes scenario. I prefer lemurs as they have better movement, a 'funky run' if you will.
I think a few of these guys might be cool as well:
Well I'll leave you to your thoughts and my random pictures. If anyone can and will help out with getting the word out about my upcoming set I will be extremely grateful and will find a way to say thank you, I promise.
take care out there
