A lot's been going on in Taye-land... let me update you:
First off, I quit my job!! Yay me. I'm now officiallly a free-lancer again which means I have more time to do my projects (which are numerous). Hopefully some of them will allow me to pay the rent. This is a huge weight off my shoulders as for a year I've been miserable (as some of you may have been reading). I don't do 9-5 very well. When do you get to travel with that kind of schedule? So for those of you who are interested here are some of my ongoing and upcoming projects.
I've been doing way more photography and have now sent in my first two SG sets for approval. Hopefully they will both be accepted, I think they are both amazing sets of very beautiful women. If they are not accepted I'll post samples here for you to see. In the mean time I won't spoil the surprise. They've been sending me tons of new girls to shoot too so I think it won't be too long before I become "official". This on it's own could turn into a full-time job if I let it I think.
Speaking of photography, I recently went to the SG Burlesque show in SF and because of my status as costume designer I was able to hang out backstage with the girls while they were performing. I have several pics of the backstage but here are my favorites:
Xiolita getting ready
Backstage, getting ready
Nixon mixing a little drinky-poo before going on. They treat them well at the Independent!
Reno and Austin backstage
Xiolita talking to God
They are all really good friends on tour.
Reno, Xiolita and Austin just before their first number
Oh, and speaking of costumes, here are some pics of the stewardess costumes I made for the tour. I'm hoping to possibly sell these through the SG store so let me know if this is something you'd buy...
Here's the girls on stage in the costumes:
And last but not least the cutie Quinne hanging out backstage as well...
So that's just one of my projects. I'm also costuming for a movie starting in October. It's called Six Sex Scenes and a Murder and they have gotten some fabulous actors for this so far. Check out their website for the trailer. The trailer was shot before I came on board so don't blame me for the lame-ass stripper costume. It will be much better in the finished product! I can't wait for the premier and it's not even shot yet. It's gonna be really good. I'll update you when it's going to be released.
Also, recently I was asked to be on the cover of a CD. This is pretty cool, it's a mix of a bunch of artists put together on ElevenTwenty Studios label. Check out their website or their myspace for more on them. Here's the CD cover art:
Oh, and check me out on the cover of Skin Art Magazine:
I'm sure I'll think of more to update you but that's enough for now. ciao friends!
