I had a good birthday I had three birthday dinners in a row
It snowed the other day! It was the day when we got our Christmas tree too. It was like one of those days in a movie where the whole family bundles up in warm clothes, rides in the car listening to happy carols through the winding back roads and then arriving into a forest with tiny snowflake faeries dancing around. Then we found the perfect tree to take home and everyone helped decorate it with all the ornaments that brought back so many memories
I've finally gotten my poet spark back, I'd lost it for awhile with so much work I've had to do lately but now it found me again
Surrender
You were silhouetted into the shadows
as the stale sun shattered through the horizon
Spinning, spiraling into the sparkling sky
stretching to the stars
and shooting them straight into my soul
sparking sinful desires singeing my insides
steady streams of smoke seep to the surface
Silence swallowed sanity
seducing us to savor our every sensation
Smearing scarlet kisses
down your shivering spine
smoothing over your satin skin
sampling it against mine
Surrendering to your sadistic splendor
shackled to the last sliver of strength
until its silver scratched into my pores
sending me shuddering, shrieking into the stillness
Sliding securely to your side
we stumble into slumber
until the sunrise showered shimmers
scheming our wake

Lucky us that you got your poet streak back. I the way you write.
