I just got two emails from friends and it has given me an idea for a business. Maybe there's Something to it? One's a local photographer whose work I'd like to get publicity for and I'm going to propose I promote him. If gets assignments from this, I get a percentage. ANd there's another lady at hebrew school who is also looking for a way to break into the local market.
The other mail came from another friend in SA. He owns a photo agency and they are getting ready to launch a photography book on Iraq in September. The photographer is a Pulitzer prize Winner whose work appears in the NY TImes, Newsweek etc. I offered to write a press release and they said yes. No cash in it but it may get my name out and that may be the break I need.
YAY! I got my municipal rates reduction and a backdated cheque for 1850 nis; I'm getting a teeny tiny rent subsidy from the government, 250nis, from next month and so on and so forth. Orly returns next week and we will reconnect and see what is going on in our lives and what we want...
