Fuck a duck!
Got fired. Blah. A good thing, cos I was working at a company full of right-wing religious Jews who were insisting I had to REPENT; REPENT: REPENT; and stop work and study at a yeshiva. As I am a left-leaning socialist Jew I can tell ya it ain't my thang.
Still looking for graft, and considering self-employment options as well. Fun.
Orly n I are going to join Ma'agal HaDerech (The Circle of the Road) a group which renews the tradition of pilgrimage to Jerusalem during the 3 Jewish pilgrim holidays this evening.
We walk in silence and get to meet with settlers n Palestinians along the way. We bear no arms. Our first stop will be at Husan, a Palestinian village adjacent to the green-line. We will join "Listening Circles" with local residents; finally camping in the Mount of Olives, together with Ma'agal HaDerech and the Peacemakers Circle.
I bought a tent and sleeping bag for the trip. I left my old tent and sleeping bag in SA so this is a worthwhile investment.
We are also going up north next week for two days. Staying at a cottage in the Golan.
And then the week after that it's off to Yam HaMelach - the Dead Sea [camping with the tent]. In June, we go to the Sinai, joinung my cuz for her 50th birthday.
So far unemployment is fun!
