I think I can honestly say that in 20 years of performing live that LAST NIGHT was THE BEST performance I personally, or my band, has ever given. This is ironic due to the fact that I drank and smoked prior to singing/playing as did my bandmates. You see, our buddy SEAN CRUZ -, null artist extraordinaire that he is (he has created our band's logo and artwork - see my FLESH EATING BABIES pic folder) brought over the OFFICIAL Jagermeister TAP and set it up right by the drum kit. We were supposed to start at 6 but waited until 8ish for Chris who was stuck on a job sight. Well, we all kinda got anxious about startin gto drink so we kind of dove in about 7:30 ish. I did 8 double shots myself and didn't blow a fucking note or lyric! (YAY ME!). As I have said rtime and time again, I loves me some Jager BOYEEEEEEE!
We did 7 songs (2 impromptu covers - We Will Rock You and Bad Day by Daniel Powter <---slightly metal version! tee-hee...) and had helluv people there. I felt like a star man....
We left all the equipment outside overnight and pulled it all in this morning after we had slept and sobered up. after the show last night I was very hot and had a panic attack and stripped down to my boxers...Now EVERYONE knows how much I love Green Day!
Someone took pictures of me but can't remember who? I think it might have been Kelly?
I came home this afternoon and my son, Logan says "Daddy? When I grow up I want to be in your band TOO!". Dude, I think that is one of the coolest things he has EVER said to me. I called Alex and fucking choked back tears at that shit man. God, I love my kids....
Money woes will always be money woes, and YES some days the pain is excruciating and mind-blowing, but you know what? Right now?.......Life is good.........
