I start college tonight, I'm excited and a bit nervous as well. I'm now a 2nd year student but my class will have a mixture of 1st and 2nd year people in it. I changed my night so hopefully it wouldn't be too crowded, but we'll see.
I'm not a freak or anything, well hmmm depends who you talk to I guess, but I hate sitting really close to people especially when i'm studying, in my first few months I sat next to a boy to made me so nervous my nose kept running and so it seemed like I had a permanent cold, he has ADD and because i was getting nervous he got twitchy and would tap his pen super fast and man it annoyed me and made my nose run even more. So I changed classes (not just because of him) and then a lady from the 2nd year sat next to me and would talk across me to her other friends - I offered to move but she was having none of it. Then in the final stages of year one I sat next to a girl who my sister used to go to school with and she just didn't seem to get anything, bless her, and her and the girl next to her would talk in depth about every question, which is fair enough but in the exam you can't do that. I got so annoyed at her whining about not knowing anything during one of the revision classes that I let her borrow my "cheat sheet" of formulas to copy so she could learn the equations properly and hopefully SHUT UP! It doesn't help that our tutor is one of those 'I'll just read it from the book and you'll understand it' types, but its obvious that you have to do some home study too.
So thats what i'm doing tonight, I also need to finish reading the end of Mr Y so I can focus on my studies completely, but its a truely amazing book and I don't want it to end ever! i wonder if i could kidnap the author in a Misery style - minus the broken bones and the being tied up and get her to keep writing the story? We'll see!
Last night Pete and I were totally rock and roll - we started a jigsaw! We're kinda new at them, but I've been obsessed with online jigsaws for a while and so it was only natural that we brought an actual one and last night it took us hours to just do the edges! It was fun and relaxing but also a bloody pain in the neck when you have like 2 pieces left but they don't fit in the gap then you realise that you've put some other bits in the wrong way round....and breath.... hehe it was fun though!
Edited to say that my boss has to go to court tomorrow and she said to me last night can you have a G+T ready for me haha! So I said to Pete do you think it would be awful if I brought her a mini gin and he laughed and said I don't think she'll be surprised if it comes from you. So I've decided that I'm going to make her a mini care package of some chocolate and a can of soda and write on the outside - this is what a day time g+t looks like! What do you think I should put in it? bear in mind that she doesn't normally eat that many solid foods! i'm thinking of a bar of galaxy and possible some jelly beans if i can find some!
