ohh back at work after a week off to study and as predicted I have a pile of crappy paperwork on my desk lol!
My exam went ok I think, I had a go at every question and there were questions in there that we hadn't been taught which is an ol' AAT trick, bastards!
Random news: I won jelly and icecream from a chef for knowing random facts! More later!!!
Ok so edited to put in an extension for my random news:
So I walk into the hotel and I'm wandering around saying hello to people, getting ready for the night etc. I've just finished my brief with all my staff when one of the chefs walks into the kitchen walks past me and as a greeting says "word", I reply with "indeed", then he turns around and says "Jeni whats the most useless piece of information you know?"
Now I know tons of crap, but its tapping into my brain and pulling it out thats the problem, especially when I'm put on the spot, so I say:
"I know 3 things about polar bears 1. their skin is black 2. their fur isn't white its translucent or reflective and it reflects the white snow 3. they're left handed"
He thinks for a moment and asks me why in Lost the polar bear is white and not green to which I tell him that lost isn't real and it would really confuse poeple if there was a green bear in it too!
So he wanders off and comes back seconds later and announces that I've won a bowl of jelly, i think he's being silly and the jelly is infact a pretend prize for knowing crap, but no behind me is placed a bowl of strawberry jelly! OMG my staff went crazy, why can't I have jelly, your fact wasn't that good blah blah. So then I say to him ok what do i get for this fact:
"when pierceings got super popular doctors didn't know that they unscrewed and so it was common practice when taking out a tongue bar to cut the tongue, pull out the bar and stitch the tongue back up!"
Well he said you can have some icecream, whats your fav flavour? Instantly I made giggly noises and said cinnamon and then a big dollop of icecream landed in my bowl, mmm yummy!
Anyway my staff had another mini mental and then started throwing facts at him and it was really funny, suddenly all this rubbish thats been locked away came out and I spent most of my time sharng facts.
We had a new guy in too and he was like wow how do you know all of this, I laughed at him and said its not useful and I pick it up from tv and books and stuff, he was like no no its really cool you should find a job where you can use it?! Bless he's only 16! And I kinda was using it to get jelly and icecream!
