I think these were from the pear tree.


I think this was on the peach tree, that would be Charlie in the back there.



The grapefruit and probably lime tree in there somewhere.

The green ash tree, I think it is, in the backyard. So there is this area where the tree forks and it collects leaves and twigs and something took a pecan in there, kinda neat.

When we were cleaning out the old storage room in the backyard I came across this little home some animal made. Complete with pecans for dinner!

I do not know if it was a squirrel or raccoon or whatever else, but it was a neat find, I put everything back in place so it still has its home.


So there was this sliver of light coming through the gap in the tin of the storage room and I wanted to see how well the camera would pick up the edges of the light, I don't think it did too bad.

So my good friend Robert and I planted some palm trees on his beach lot. I photograph them every few months to document their growth progress. Well here are a few shots from the ride out to the beach.

So before I get right into them I should say that when I drive places I usually do not pay enough attention to the scenery. So when I am driving I like to roll the window down and just take pictures for a while and see what I got later. Fun little surprises, nothing too exciting this time, well see for yourself.




I got part of some old building. And my mirror!

They are not so easy to make out at this size, but there are cows in this one!!!

A ditch filled with water! Reminds me of where I got my friend Jonathan's nickname from, I call him "Ditchwater" because of a story he told about him as a child making a dry ice bomb in a soda bottle and using, of all types and manners of water, ditch water. I could not stop laughing, if you see Jon he fits the nickname as it fits him, beautifully. I had to relieve myself in the middle of my fit of laughter so as not to piss my fucking pants!

Well before getting to the beach lot and palm trees I have to cross over a bridge, it has wooden bridge next to it that you can fish and crab from. I crab in this area, if you have never caught crabs it is fucking great fun, if you want to try it, come over and I will take you out!

That is the little wooden bridge it is on the beach side. That is the bay in the background.


So that is the bridge you drive over, it has the marsh area behind it.

That is on the other side of the bridge. The next picture has the bridge in it and this picture can be placed directly right of this last picture.


So these next pictures have an order to them, I was shooting right to left. So you can start with the last pictures and continue down to get an idea of the area going right to left, if that makes sense to you. Well here we go.

So the water makes a "T" you may be able to see it in the 3rd picture in that little series, well these next shots start in the middle of the T and go to the left.




So these next two are of the bottom of the estuary. The water is shallow enough in some places to see the bottom, those are oyster shells. Well when I go crabbing I go out in the middle of the water and can see crabs on the bottom and catch them with a dip net and not need to use bait for them, I have had some people freak out and want me to show them how then give up and try to gig the crab.





Next time I go crabbing I am going to go out on the water and try to get pictures of the crabs.

There are some big palm trees but we did not plant those, we planted the smaller ones.

We also planted some Canary palms as well.




The lot has several species of plants naturally there. And a pretty big agave.





I found a coin in front of the lot, it is a TEXAS!!!!!!!! quarter!!

One last look at the lot before I was on my way.

Who can call their blog complete without a picture of a midget somewhere? Well no I am not trying to be mean because I acutaly know this guy and used to work with him. He likes being called a midget, no offense intended to anyone else.

This is James aka "Little Man" he even wrote that on his hardhat! I left the doors in to give some reference for scale, he is upstaging the doors so it is not entirely accurate. And I left in the motorcycle so he would look cool standing near it, it is not his though. But he is a friend so I try to help him out with cool points when I can.

Not to worry though, Nya washed all of the items before mailing them out. She also wrapped everything in extra pretty pink tissue paper!
