Tuesday February the 5th 2008 I got a little package in the mail.
And it was the copy of the Offical Manko Radio Bootleg that I ordered!! So I took pictures of the whole thing because its all so awesome. But this is the cover of the CD you pretty much have to buy a copy to check out the rest of it. Not to worry though, it is completely worth every cent.
You can go to Manko's blog and get information on ordering it. She makes the whole thing really easy. So I have been depressed lately to the point that I did not feel like baking. So I have not baked anything but lasagna, and even though I use dessert cheese in my lasagna, its not the same as baking sweets. So yeah I was listening to the awesome CD while I was playing pool and I started thinking about how great it is that Manko is already having the prints I ordered made. She makes that whole process so easy, even volunteered her time to help me pick out the best images. How awesome is that? So I felt better with the CD and all of the good news and I went home and felt like baking strawberry cupcakes. Inspired by the CD I was. This is the result, several dozen cupcakes, this is not all of them, there are a few dozen not pictured. I doubled the recipe. But here you have it:
Strawberry cupcakes, from scratch, naturally, as is the icing and sauces.
Cream cheese icing with milk chocolate sauce and candy sprinkles
Cream cheese icing with some other kind of candy sprinkles
Cream cheese icing with white chocolate sauce and red, pink, and lavender sugar crystals.
Cream cheese icing with milk and white chocolate crumbs.
White chocolate sauce with red sugar crystals. Milk chocolate sauce with candy sprinkles. Cream cheese icing with milk chocolate crumbs Plain Philadelphia cream cheese icing.
And this pan is a couple of each one to take to some friends.
