You know you're getting old when you fall asleep in a La-Z-Boy sitting straight up for forty-five minutes. I miss the days when I could go out after work and get a drink with friends. I come home and basically go right to bed these days. I'm hoping this will change when I get my apartment and see the doctor and get on some new medication.
I am enjoying the Lunesta that my father gave me (he had to go through three different sleep aids for his insurance to allow his doctor to give him the medication the doctor WANTED to give in the first place, so I got the leftovers). It helps a lot with the waking-up-sleeping-again sleep patterns I have. I am going to ask Dr. M to give me some on Sept. 8th when I see him. I also need a new muscle relaxer and a new pain medication, along with maybe a multivitamin. My last rheumatologist was ADAMANT that there was NO medicine between the level she gave me (basically Aleve) and VICODIN. Which is complete and utter bullshit, but I can't argue with the HMO, so I dealt with it. Dr. M was the one who diagnosed my migraines after four doctors failed, so I'm hopeful with him that we can get my FM, RA, and possible (and hopefully nonexistent) cancer under control.
I have been watching a lot of Happy Days lately. Ah, for the days sitcoms didn't need to make sense or be FUNNY so long as they brought a smile to your face. And who doesn't like Fonzie? I mean, really.

Wait a minute. I don't understand something here. I practice all week until I have to limp home and soak my feet. I spend 18 dollars and fifty cents on a monkey suit. Two nerds come to my room, lock me in my bathroom and start calling names. Sherlock Holmes here chases me and starts yelling at me. Cunningham threatens me with physical violence, Shortcake kicks me in the leg and you all want to go home happy. Well let me tell you something, you're not going anywhere lady. THE FONZ WANTS TO DANCE!
