I do not believe that good things come to those who wait, nor do I believe that they come to those that work hard. I think they just happen, that there is no reason or way to make good things happen to you. Sometimes it may seem like they do but the universe does not care what your situation is for something good to happen. I just send it to you whenever it wants to.
In contrast you can cause bad things to happen to you. Sure the universe can send bad things to you for no reason and no cause. However, bad things do bring about more bad things. This is mainly because it is easier for bad things to multiply and people tend to punish bad things.
The universe is neutral in everything, sometimes good things happen and sometime bad things happen. It's like a random number generator. You may get a even number or you may get an odd number but it is all random and up to chance.

In Russia they see happiness more in this way. Like a guest who may or may not stay at your house one night. Happiness is not a right. At least that’s what my Russian friend told me :)
