I haven't posted in almost a week, even though I have a lot on my mind.
It's 5:45, I'm supposed to be at work in 15 minutes, and I feel like shit. I only got 5 hours of sleep last night . I need school to start so I can get my financial aid and quit my job. I can't stand getting up this early anymore, especially when I have to work 11 hour shifts for just barely over minimum wage.
It seems that most everything in my life is going great now, and the only source of stress and frustration is my job. I know, I know, I have a job, and in this economy, I should just be thankful for that much. At the same time though, if it is the only thing in my life that is causing me stress, I feel like I should be making an effort to change it.
Today also marks the day that I start my 2 and a half month fight camp to get ready for a kickboxing fight. My profile picture on here is a picture of me taking first place at a brazilian jiu jitsu tournament back in April, and I've recently switched gears to start focusing on Muay Thai and kickboxing instead of jiu jitsu. Assuming I win this kickboxing fight, when I get back from studying abroad in the spring, I will then work on getting an MMA fight in the cage. Exciting!
I have my class schedule for the fall, and it's pretty awesome. I'm taking 16 hours right now, with one class from 2:30 to 3:45 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday are from 9 to 3, and Wednesday from 10 to 3:45. So, as of right now, I have three day weekends, and I might drop my class that I have on Mon/Wednesday depending on the content, which means I'd have 4 day weekends all semester long!
A lot more on my mind, I'll make another blog post soon.
