So my building was broken into again last night.
While I was in bed asleep.
Thankfully they didnt try to get into my flat but they did manage to make off with a chest of drawers we had in the foyer to keep our post in.
This thing was big, and rather battered and decrepit so they must have been desperate.
Rather thoughtfully though they left my credit card bill behind.
Still, this has galvanised me into action and I spent this afternoon wiring up my burglar alarm and I'm rather chuffed to say it worked first time.
It's not as loud as I would have liked. Only 90 decibels. Although my mum who is almost completely deaf, said it was loud enough for her so it must be OK. Still I can't help feeling that any toe-rag who breaks into my flat deserves to get a perforated ear drum for his trouble.
