Sometimes it's hard to love what Christmas has become. It seems like all anyone wants it the best gifts and the most elaborate lights!
But still for me, Christmas will always remain a time of family and of community. Even as an adult my heart still flutters when I hear 'It's beginning to look alot like Christmas' and I am a total sucker for holiday films!
My favourites all classics my family watched when I was young and we all still watch them with my niece every Christmas 🌲
Snow Foolin' ⛄️
-Screen song 1949
Screen songs were pretty much all I watched as a young child, with the occasional Disney movie thrown in, and this spurred a serious love of song, and of Christmas carols. Plus this always made me dream of one day getting to experience a white Christmas.
Christmas comes but once a year 🎁
- Short film 1936
This could possibly be my favourite cartoon of all time. It's filled with the true meanings of Christmas for me, the gift of giving and of joy. This still makes emotional to this day, in a good way! Haha.
Rudolph the red nosed reindeer ❤️
-TV special 1964
I think this one is going to be is a lot of lists! When I was a kid this movie was life! It really made little baby misfit Amaryllis believe that I would one day find my place in the world.
And last not certainly not least...
White Christmas ❄️
-Film 1954
Danny Kaye gets me every time! Sorry the full film isn't available on YouTube but in all seriousness you should already own this one haha.
Thanks always to @Rambo & @missy for the killer blog themes 😘
Don't forget that giving is more important than receiving this time of year. Donate what you can, give plenty of smiles, and look out for one another.
Merry Christmas oxox
