Hi all!
After a nice relaxing day of doing nothing I thought I would give the new homework blog a go. I love my music so this will be very hard task from @charmaine @missy & @rambo haha thanks ladies 😜
I did already did a blog once before on my first concerts and favourte songs. So you should all know my favourites by now 😉 haha.
Instead I will tell you my favourite songs right now. The songs that are getting me up in the morning, my favourite songs to dance to and the lyrics that are currently pulling at my heart strings. So, here we go!
Dragonborn- Dragonborn Skyrim theme
This might sound lame but I am such a huge fan of this game and I've been playing it almost non stop since being on holidays. I always let the song run through before loading, it gets me excited and pumped up for dragon slaying (or riding) lol.
Hot Patootie- Eddie (meatloaf)
This is my dance-around-the-house-like-a-crazy-person-when-I'm-alone song. Haha. I have always been a Meatloaf fan and anyone who is friends with me know how Rocky Horror Picture Show changed my life when I was younger, so this song along with all of the other on this soundtrack have a special place in my life's playlist. This song in particular though, just makes my soul happy.
Elastic heart- Sia
I am a big fan of Sia. Not only because she is a very talented young Australian singer. I really respect her artistic views, her love for, and support of, interperative dance but mostly the way she stays out of the lime light. Sia is often seen facing away from the stage, wearing outfits that blend in with the backdrops or not being present on stage at all during performances. Sia would rather let the music and lyrics speak for themselves *swoon*. Add to that that this film clip had me falling in love with Shia, proving that he is an artist at heart and a talented one.
Plus, this film clip gave me goosepimples!
Josie and the Pussycats- I wish you well
I actually tried to find a video of the main theme song but couldn't find one but this is my next favourite. This is my driving jam! I love this album and if I'm ever going on a long drive or need do get pumped up and I'm on my own... I put on the Josie and the Pussycats soundtrack. This song is the perfect mix of in-your-face! attitude and positive affirmations for renewal.
Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings- 100 days, 100 nights
Now this is the song I listen to when I'm relaxing, reading, laying in the sun or having a drink my myself on a hot afternoon. I love Sharon Jones! When I'm alone, I also like put her records on and sing along loudly (and do her absolutely no justice haha). I love everything they've made.
What a voice!
There you have my top 5 favourite songs to listen to at the moment. What are yours? I'd love to know! If you make a blog be sure to tag me in it so I can check out your tunes ✌️
Happy listening ox
