I'm running very behind on homework so I thought I would make a blog full of fun homework facts ^_^
My first concert & my favourite song
I'm not sure what counts as a first concert so I will mix it up a little and tell you about all of my first time concerts and my favourite songs from that band!
The first live band I saw was One Dollar Short at Grounded, which was a terribly dusty and hot little outdoors concert with a few not-so famous bands at the time who later on became quite well known bands like Frenzel Romb.
Is this the part?- One Dollar Short
The first time that I went into the city to see a live band was a friends jazz band Jumbledat playing at their local pub. They were something else; a wondrous mix of Aussie hip hop, jazz and funk in a 10 piece band. I still have their debut cd and listen to it regularly.
The first time that I travelled a distance to see one band was Soapbox Summer. This was my friends pop punk band that I adore still to this day even though they have long broken up. I went to see almost every show! After that I started seeing a lot more bands at pubs and clubs, but I'm not sure they count since I was only ever paying cover charge and standing around with maybe thirty people haha.
Doc Brown is my homeboy- Soapbox Summer
That is some of the worst recording I've ever seen but that's all we've got lol.
The first real big concert I went to, at a big venue and paid copious amounts of money for was Alexisonfire! Now that was a show, they are amazing live and have such energy. Since they have now stopped recording and touring it has become a much more fond memory.
But, if I had to pick my favourite of all the people I've ever seen live, no run around and no dodging around and saying its too hard to pick, then my favourite song is...
Marylin Manson- Reflecting God
This song helped me through a very tough time in my life. Many of you may have even noticed that I have some lyrics of this tattooed on the inside of my arm. His book was also a huge part of my life for a long time and I owe a large part of who I am today thanks to everything that his music and his book has taught me ❤️
Hope you all enjoyed my little fun facts about my concert history haha.
My set comes out today!! 1am Australian time but you should all be seeing it around midday. I think haha. I'm bad with time differences.
Who's excited?
Much love oxox
